Posted by: Magnus Hagander This release contains new initdb starting code to fix some scenarios on Windows 2003 where initdb failed with "Access Denied" even though the filesystem permissions were correct. Since this is new functionality so soon before a final release, we ask everybody to please test this functionality as soon as possible, and let us know *both if it works and if it doesn't*. Please notify Magnus at mha_at_sollentuna.net if you have tested and if it works or not. Please include OS version, language and servicepack level as well as if the first RC5 release worked or not. The file will be available on the ftp mirrors shortly. If possible, please use this method for downloading the file to keep the load down on the pgFoundry server. Full release notes are available on the pgFoundry project page. Please submit any issues you have with the installer using the support/bug/feature trackers or the mailinglist at the pgfoundry page. Issues with the backend should be discussed on the main project lists available from http://www.postgresql.org. Please do NOT use this forum for issues with the installer, as it's not monitored.
