Forum: Bizgres 0.7 Released
Posted by: Josh Berkus First, two performance enhancements have been "backported" to the Bizgres code base, which is based on PostgreSQL 8.0.3. Simon Riggs' constraint exclusion patch is included allow users to make much greater use of table partitioning. Tom Lane's bitmapscan, which allows combining indexes in memory and faster index access in some cases, has also been incorporated. Second, Bizgres is becoming a distribution of tools for Open Source business intelligence. Version 0.7 downloads with the KETL extract, transform and load tool (ETL) from Kinetic Networks, and JasperReports from JasperSoft. To help people make use of these tools for a unified platform, a demo application for analysis of weblog data is provided.
