The general direction seems obvious. A more concrete plan is useless
until someone steps up to the challenge.

Not at the moment. Most OLE DB tasks done at present are for specific
clients. I really shouldn't use the plural form so liberally, but I'm
still hopeful :-) Then again, if time is pressing, and your company is
not interested in developing this feature itself, feel free to contact
