My name is Shachar. Hi. You can get a small glimps into the meaning of
the name at http://shemesh.biz/sun.html

Please do not email me privately, but use the mailing list of Ole DB
related correspondance.

Welcome :-)

At the moment, the only one who had ever worked on the project's code is
myself. I do not have the time at the moment (and in the foreseeable
future) to continue said development.

I'm afraid the order in which things have to happen is reverse. Please
don't take this personally, but I don't know you or how good you will
manage to live up to the things you are attempting to do. There is
nothing personal against you here, it's just that past experience has
left me a bit suspicious of simply letting anyone expressing interest in
helping have commit access to the CVS.

In order to not duplicate work, I suggest the following. Do work on
fixing whatever it is you feel you can/want. You do not have to let me
know (through the mailing list) what it is you are working on, but if
you do I may be able to help. When you are done (and have tested,
locally, that your fix indeed works), we'll talk about what is the best
way for sending the work you have done to me. If I don't have any
technical objections to the patch, I'll put it into the provider's code.
This way the work you do is getting distributed to everyone, there is
not duplication of effort, and I get to know you as an added bonus.

I highly recommend that you pull the sources out of CVS, rather than
work with the downloaded sources you get from the web. This will not
only make it easier for you to send me patches in a format that is easy
for me to integrate, but will also be an actual requirement once we get
to the "getting you commit access" subject.
