At the moment, I don't have the free time to work on it pro-bono, no one
seems interested in sponsoring work, and no one else seems to be working
on it. If situation changes, I will release a new version. For the
moment, I'm afraid, that is the best I have to offer.

Yes, the bytea code is not really debugged.
