Summary:
Execution hangs when table permissions are denied

Detailed description
When attempting a query on a table where the active user does not have the required privilege, execution of the query hangs rather than returning an appropriate error code or exception.

Example:

If the table 'foo' has the column 'bar', and the current user 'myuser' does not have select permissions, the following query will hang:

select bar from foo

Hi, Dave!

We had another report about that earlier: http://pgfoundry.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1010750&group_id=1000140&atid=590

But I couldn't reproduce the problem.

Would you mind to create a simple sql script where this problem occurs?

On my tests the error about permission is returned correctly.

Thanks in advance.
