This expected output of the "circle_extended" test had been inconsistent with the actually calculated results for a long time -- regardless of PostgreSQL version, CPU architecture, etc. This was probably due to somehow unsatisfactory results of pgSphere's internal spoint_dist() function.
Both issues have been fixed in the 'master' branch of my pgSphere repository at github.com/mnullmei . You can always download a snapshot as https://github.com/mnullmei/pgsphere/archive/master.tar.gz .
